Hi there i was thinking about buying a fish finder, but i don't have a boat so need to buy a portable ones, i do go fishing on a kayak sometimes so i figure it will come in handy then too, fishfinder do come in a range of prices and featuress, i just need something reliable and that works, i saw a cheap one "see to sea" i seen videos on it it looks like it works and all, but the eagle cudas look good also it being a name brand , any suggestions or advice will help a lot thanks

Hmmm, i have no experience with fishfinders, but what i would do is strike up a conversation with an expert in the products at a store (bps or le barons) and get their advice and suggestions.
from there, i would then consider getting used or new. you would have an idea on which to get, which have flaws, and which would suit you best.
my buddy just picked up a hand held gps i think from le barons. talked about it for a long time with the guy at the counter.

I have this one

Only used it a handful of times, but it does its job. Also good for ice fishing or if you have a float tube.

Then go with the small one u can cast if u walk the shore.

If u have or plan on using it in canoe/boat set up all I can say is for the portable ones go with the 2 6v as opposed to the AA of D battery looks like a lunch box, this set up last a heck of a lot longer.

But if your shore line only or 80+ % of the time I say: That tiny green one for a bill at CDT tire. Tried it not bad and it's designed to be cast out. Has the readont on the watch. Light tiny and portable!

What if a huge muskie/pike comes and takes it?
Chances are slim...but I've thought about it haha
