I came across this searching for the fundamentals of rigging your split shots for float fishing.

Shows different shot placements and the benefits of each technique.

I have a question regarding how you would classify a deep and shallow pool?

What depths would classify each?

A shallow pool starts at about 3ft. It gets harder to say what is a deep pool because it depends the body of water you are fishing. The Niagara would have pools that might be over 20ft deep and the Credit you would have a hard time finding one over 8ft. IMO I think the shot pattern is more important for the current speed than the depth, generally speaking.

Makes sense, Thanks spin.
