Gday ladies and gents. So I've been trying to find somewhere local to bring my 3 boys out fishing, nothing serious just shore fishing for panfish to get them hooked on the sport. It seems like the only place where we really have any luck for them is out on scugog island. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can bring them in the durham region to get some good fishing for them?

I'm not looking to steal anyone's crappy honey hole just looking to get the kids more into the sport with me. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

I have no idea where durham is but a really good place to catch panfish is mount pleasant nature centre on the outskirts of brantford. Sorry if thats not where u live.

Not even close.

Lynde shores conservation area. Sunfish, perch, catfish. Accessible for kids too as its a conservation area. Scugog crownland at the tip of scugog island has some too

lynde shores IMO has too many catfish. If you want some great perch & sunfish action. bring some worms and fish frenchman's bay - West side. East side used to be good but not a lot of weed last year and this year. plus too many kayakers on the east side. too many gobies by the marinas and people keep tossing them back on the water even when advised to kill and discard.
