good pickeral fishing in lakefield ontario?

hey ive been fishing along the otonabee river for my whole life I usually fish around lakefield ive had little luck lately with pickeral with only about 3 on the shore. I know theres amazing fishing there I just dont know what to use and where to go and where to cast when im at that spot or the kind of action I use on the rod when my bait is in the water I know alot about the bass fishing but im knew to this shoreline pickeral game so any tips and tricks or just some known spots around the lakefeild area would be great im going out again this saturday thanks!!
