title pretty much spills it all.

i know theres pro bass, cabelas, canadiantire and other stores that sell stuff but its all so expensive.

like 10$+ each on lures....ok i know im cheap but im just starting out and i need to buy some lures and a tackle box. but its will cost quite a bit.

now to my question.

does anyone know were to buy tackle online (inless ur near london) cheapper? or buy in bulk?

thanks

i looked in kijiji and thats a good place but nothing much in my area.......

Check the BP website. They usually have good sales and promotions at any given time including free or very cheap shipping to make it worth your while.

At Canadian Tire, check the very bottom shelf. There are usually cheap no-name lure kits and multi-packs for less than $20 including spoons, spinners, plastics and cranks. Dollarama also sells fishing stuff.

sweeeett ill check it out tommorrow maybe.

oh and has anyone bought lures off of ebay?
i see a lot of them but are they acturally good(the ones from china, sell is bundles)

thanks alot guys

all my lures are from dollarama. never needed to buy from anywhere else. I dont trust online shopping. Dont like to buy what I cant inspect.

depends on if you know what you are buying already. PS A lot of bait and tackle shops charge more than BPS, Cabellas or CT. Reason being, they are able to control the sales in that area and set their own prices.

Sail is decent with some things but a lot of their rods/reels can be overpriced. Customer service is poop there. I went there for a sale at sail LOL, anyways. I bought a reel for my dad and wanted them to spool it, I asked for backing to be put on my reel instead of straight braid. I purchased a 289$ reel there and line. The response I got from the guy who was there was, you also have to pay for backing....

i might fancy the idea of selling tackle as a side hobby.
you guys have such a crap selection of goods here.

I used to frequent bass pro quite often but lately I go to Sail or lebaron. Lebarons pricing on flies are a little cheaper then Sail but selection is limited. Joining their membership thing saves you 10% on each purchase.

Ive bought from ebay before but only from top rated sellers.

Canadian tire value packs talked about above are a good way to go to start out i find. The trick isn't to build the tackle box over time. Maybe buy one or two lures a month and you'll soon have more tackle than the fish know what to do with.

Shawarma- that is the truth. this past weekend I took everything I owned out. This usally doesnt happen. If I am going into the lake I have a sof sided bag with cases in it. If I am going into the river my vest is always hung up inside.

This weekend after taking everything out including all rods, reels, tackle, vests and waders. I was able to outfit 5 adults with full river gear (rods, reels, waders, vest ect)

I offically started purchasing for my own use in 2008. 5 years later I have a small sporting goods store.

lol, that's the idea iJay. I hadn't bought any fishing equipment at all in about 7 years and now that i have the itch again, i'm paying for it (literally). One or two lures at $20 is ok... but the minute you want to go fish for salmon, then bass, then pike all within the same weekend, then that $20 has jumped up to $200 easily and that hurts!
