Got a week off work, where to go?

Hey everyone,

I got this next week off work and I'm gonna try somewhere new since I got time, I dont own a boat but I wouldnt mind renting one to fish a good lake for bass. I'm not asking for exact fishing spots here just what lake to try. I live in Whitby and would prolly max drive 1:30-2hrs. I have a cottage on lake simcoe and I wanna try something new. I am thinking about Rice lake, seems pretty good. ANyone else wanna shoot me a good fishing area for bass?

Hey, would love to help yeah out, but I;m of no use for that, but if you decide to go a bit further than your 2 hours to Halton ways, can always hit up the grand river. Theres always something bitting there usually, just a matter of what is lol.

rice lake is good. or why dont u try scugog for some bass...i might go tommorow. or if u go during the weekday..its cheaper to rent a boat for the day.

If I had the choice I would try Honey Harbour. They have boat rentals and its near georgeian bay. Also there is so much water to fish from boat. I'm heading to a friends cottage there at the end of this month to check it out. Honey habour is just 30 mins from orillia.

So far just been up near simcoe. Tonight heading back to simcoe to fish some rocky points for smallies

I'm gonna have too cause I hit simcoe last night and all I got was wet. stupid rain came over us for a bit. No bites at all.

Simcoe, went out at 6pm, fished on a rocky point for SMB till bout 6-7:20 then got rained on, came in shortly after. Nothing, not even a bite.

Friday went to Rice for the first time. hit the water at 9am and fished all over till about 4pm. Again, nothing but weeds, on weeds. It looked great. Just could get one to bite.

So far on my vacation I have landed 1 small LMB, out of 5 days now. Very frustrating

Hit honey harbor Lots of water to fish of you have a boat. It's 30 mins past orrilia. So many lakes around there too. I will check it out two Saturday's from now. Hope it's hot fishing.
