water level on the grand is low in waterloo and kitchener. anyone else notice this?
what's your game plan when you notice the drop? hit the pools you know of? drift the shallows into some weeds?

Hit the deep pools you know of, fish will be concentrated in these areas due to the low water levels.

Fished the Grand yesterday below Caledonia. The water was quite low as you mentioned. I found my regular spots all produced fish. I just didn't get as many bass as usual. Not sure if this had anything to do with the low water, the fact that it is the week after opener or maybe because I forgot my minnow pail at home and bought worms instead (which I never actually tried there before.) When I got home and opened my door there was my pail, sitting sad and neglected. LOL.

Alfie.

i fish the grand up near cambridge! it is full of bass and pike. carp and cats right now. if you want some good fishing head out to moyers landing just near blair round about. park in the lot and head down stream! water is "deeper" and you can find nice spots with out a load of weeds.

I live in kitchener and fish the grand too. when the water is low I fish the deep pools I know of but in the early mornings and evenings I hit walleye and bass in 3 ft of water. I fished goderich this weekend and only caught medium sized bass compared to the monsters I caught opener but if you want to find some good spots on the grand rent a canoe from canoe the grand you will find some sweet spots on the river thats my 2 cents cheers
