New to Ontario fishing, and hell lures in general (back in Newfoundland it was a worm on a hook for trout and enjoy). Plan on hitting Guelph lake the weekend and I have a canoe. I understand the part south east of 124 is suppose to be nice fishing and there is a free access point to launch from. North you go through the conservation area.
I also talked to Dufferin Outdoor Supply in Orangeville (I like that place), His suggestion was white spinnerbait seam to be what the pike and bass are hitting hard in both Guelph and Orangeville. The next on the list are white, silver and red spones are getting a good hit rate.
I don't expect people to give up secrete spots, but hints on where to try out for bass or pike and lures and such would be great for guelph, but hey orangeville lake next on ls so hey post up for that as well if you know
