This was my second outing with the fly rod and I'm a total noob with it...I'm just freestyling and learning on the go.

This was my reaction when I finally hooked up...

I couldn't see the take... that area was shaded and it was hard to see.

All I know was the carp went near my fly but I had no idea that it took it.

It was all luck.
