I will be in Toronto from 10/9 to 10/18. I don't have much time to go fishing but I am looking into a guided fishing trip to maximize my chances of catching some steelhead and especially a brown trout since I won't have more than a day to hit the water. I have been looking at going with A perfect drift. Any of you guys go out with them or any other guide services that I should take a look at? Thanks!

Paul

Steelies and browns? Perhaps Niagara? Should be a good time for brownies down there. Try Paul Castenello - I think I butchered his last name.

Ive been out on multiple occasions with Graham Bristow (A Perfect Drift) with friends and family and he is a great guide. They all thoroughly enjoyed being guided by him (myself included). He works hard, is a great "coach" and your chances of hooking into fish will be the best it could be for that day. I'd definitely recommend going out with him. He books up really fast so contact him early if you want to go with him.

If you are looking into Niagara Region, then as Troutddicted mentiones Paul Castenello (Cast adventures I think) is the man.

If you are looking more into southwestern/western ontario area, Jeff Parks from Calmwater fishing is a great guide also.

Good luck!

its a busy season that time of year for guides, if you cant find one of these excellent suggestions available, i can def help you with some spots to try out with good odds. let me know via pm if anything...

but imo perfect drift is your best bet. even if graham is busy, the other guys are good stuff

Thats why I suggested Paul C on the Niagara. The guys got his own secret flies and mid October should be good to go for some fat brownies. He will put you on the fish, big Lake Ontario fattties, big fatties down there.

^ Trouty nailed it, Niagara will be your best bet for brownies at that time of the year. Plus its Niagara lol.

Great to know that post-September browns can be found in Niagara region. May have to call-Paul-this-fall.

I've been out with Graham Bristow several times and he really is top notch in terms of his attitude, ethic, and not to mention fish on! Highly recommend A Perfect Drift. IMO Graham is a very reliable choice for all GB tribs and Wes tribs.

Had the pleasure of being guided by Rob Heal a couple times prior to him taking over the Fergus Wilson's shop. Great teacher, killer lunches and again, knew how to find and get steel head on the line. He's a great contact if you're looking to fish the Grand.

Anyone to recommend in the east?
