Good day everyone,

I'll be spending the Victoria Day long weekend at Otter Lake in Haliburton. This is not the one just before Parry Sound, but farther North, closer to the West-side of Algonquin. I've been doing internet searches but cannot find what species hold in the lake. I'm hoping it's more than bass, since they will OOS that weekend.

If anyone has any experience with Otter Lake in Haliburton, please share what species are in the lake and perhaps tips to approach them since this is the first time I'll be on that body of water. PMs welcome if your not comfortable posting on a public forum.

Thanks in advance,
Reefrunner

Ahh, you should really go after the opener then. The bass in algonquin are fearless and will smack anything thats presented. I remember practically throwing down an unscented plastic and not even moving it, and before i knew it, my line was moving and fish was on.

Hahahahha. It's my cousin and fishing partner. Thanks Mykster. lol.

Good news, I heard there is pike in Otter. Plus we may drop into Lake of Bays for an evening.
