Has anyone rigged this way before?

How's the success rate on this one. I do gang hooks myself but i use single hooks.

Ive used stinger hooks on tube jigs and minnows for icing lakers. Never used two though, the short one seems unecessary.

I too think that it seems overkill. Why not just the jig and a treble in the middle? Will be trying this rig for pike.

The hook at the top is for balance. I usually just snell bait hooks and use a sliding weight.

All you need is one treble about 1/2 to 3/4 ways down on the bait. You don't really need two trebles.
