Have an itch, need some tips

a 9ft 8wt is a very versatile rod, from bass to pike, to salmon, its a little over kill for trout, but if you're using it for more than one species its a good choice. i just bought one a couple of weeks ago, can't wait to break it in on a nice bow

So you think I should stay away from switch rods and keep it single handed?

if yo're fishing duffins, oshawa, wilmot bowmanville or the ganny yo don't really need a switch to hit the pockets of fish

yea its a little heavy for most steels, the larger ones it'll be great, but a 6 or 7wt is pretty ideal for them

Saw the picture. Nice bend on the rod.

I found somebody selling a 11ft 5/6wt IM6 fly rod and he told me the rod can easily handle steelheads. decisions decisions..

11 6wt can handle it for sure...
