Hello Crew, Allow me to introduce myself

Finally joined the forum

I live in the Windsor, ontario area.

My ultimate dream would be to get paid to fish.

I'm a banker by day and avid angler all other times. In February I went and bought a very old boat that was on life support. Spend my winter and spring rebuilding and now I'm able to expand my fishing capabilities.

My main species to fish is bass. I normally use live baits but I'd like tips on using lures more often.

This weekend I'm visiting my father in law in Oshawa, and I've convinced him the best area to try is fisherman's bay in ajax/pickering.

I use an Abu Garcia spin set up I've pieces together over the years.

sounds like your'e pretty dedicated rebuilding a boat and all.
i have the patience to sit on the water catching nothing all day but not for boat building lol

Welcome to OFF. I would agree with you that Frenchman's bay is a good area to fish, but not on shore this time of year. Areas are limited and the construction going on somehow hindered some of the fish. I have caught minimal pike this year compared from last year.

Lol ya I invested about 3 months time and a couple hundred so instead of sitting on shire catching nothing I can go on the lake and catch nothing lol

Thanks alwayscatching, I will be abusing that privilege of constant questions (wether they be obvious or quality) lol.

So I took the family all over. Went to Cobourg water fest, visited the Ganaraska in port hope, Frenchmans Bay in pickering and up to port perry to try lake Scugog.

we only fished Scugog and Frenchmans Bay, at one point we were catching pan fish without bait, but my son had a blast. It's only annoying when you see these monsters jumping all around you but they have no interest in what you're offering. Almost reminds me of high school, the fish being the woman.

we're headed back to windsor today and I'm going to go back out and fish Erie for a bit need to redeem myself.
