Just wanted to say hi to everyone.
My name is Steve, I'm a newbie to float fishing. Just got my first center pin about a month ago, and tried it out a couple times. Man it's tough. Being a father of two (one is less than two months old), I don't get to go out and practice much. I'm probably doing everything wrong anyways. I would love to tag along with one of you experts for a fun and educational day on the river. I drive, and always bring extra coffee and energy bars î–. I practice catch and release, just in it for the fight.
I'm thinking about taking my 5yrs old daughter to Newcastle for some bottom bouncing on the beach this sunday. That is the only place I know that is safe enough for a little child. I'm just not sure if it's wise to do so. Don't want to piss off some of the serious anglers there. I'm so lucky that my little princess loves to fish. She has had her share of pan fish on her Dora rod. She will use my rod of course and I will help her fight the fish. What do guys think, should I get her hooked on steelies?
Hopefully, with all your help, I will one day be able to contribute to this community and perhaps help a future newbie.
Tight lines
