Hello all!
I've been creeping these forums for a good season or two but decided to finally make an account here to get some words in when I have time..

I have been fishing since I was a child starting with jigging out in Cape Breton, Nova scotia and have loved being on the water ever since.
I've done almost every type of fishing since then but these days depending on the time of year im either on the local rivers or out surf-fishing on the outer banks
and in the summer months I creep the shores of any lakes I can get myself to..

Don't own a boat or anything so I make do with where my feet and wheels can get me

I'm new to river fishing but it has become somewhat of an addiction recently and this season I've been on the local tribs at least 2-3 times a week (when work allows)
Learning a lot, especially from the many useful posts I've found here.

Anyways I'm glad to finally join this community here and look forward to making friends and sharing knowledge with you all.

Also kudos to the mods and those who contribute regularly, thanks for maintaining this excellent resource

Welcome! What techniques do you use? What species are your favourite?

I've tried fishing a west trib once but got nothing. There was no visibility in the water. I'm interested in trying river fishing but I'm not sure if I have the proper equipment for it. Not too knowledgeable on gear...yet.

Welcome! What techniques do you use? What species are your favourite?

I try to do whatever I can manage on spinning gear(saving $ for specialized stuff soon).
Favorite species has to be brook trout with rainbow coming close second. love the colors on those fish

I'm a spinning guy myself, got into the fly and looking to get into casting... It's addictive!

Those fish sure are pretty.
