Figured I'd set up an account and post when I can. Not very knowledgeable so much, as I used to be. Retaking up fishing after a long hiatus. Just a casual/relaxing type fisher. No boat, so I just fish from the shore.

Welcome dude! If you are located around the windsor area you should take a good look around if u haven't already. People travel down there all the time hoping for a musky from the old big lake I can't say. and the nearby tha--n river also has a good walleye population as the regulations say to take as many as u want from there. What do u normally fish for?

I know L St. Clair is big for musky and bass. I'm just a casual fisher - I used to go all the time like 15-20 years ago - name it, we'd catch it (and this is from shore!). I just try different set-ups/baits - catch whatever I can. Not much luck this year at all though.

I pretty much (not having access to, nor owning, a boat) stick to fishing the Detroit River - which has everything from carp, sheephead to perch, pickerel, bass. Even caught a mudpuppy one time!
