Hello out there!

Just wanted to introduce myself to the group! I'm so happy there is a forum for this! I am quite the beginner although I had been fishing with my Pops since I was a kid growing up in Toronto/Mississauga. We'd typically leave the city and head up to Beaverton mostly. Occasionally, when we weren't in the mood for a long drive, we'd fish in Port Credit.. some of the tributaries of the Credit River. For the last several years I've been living in BC for a while and had done a bit of fishing out there, but now I'm back and am hoping to get fishing again in Ontario this spring and summer!

Tips, insight, wisdom... all greatly appreciated!

I would especially be grateful for any advice that anyone has on fishing in the Midland area. I'm housesitting for a friend for another week and have access to a canoe.. I don't really know where to begin though!

Little lake in the centre of midland can be good for crappies.

Georgianbaydrifter, I was wondering what kind of fish were in there. I'll take the canoe out and give it a try!

Dozer, it's a lingcod.. from my days of living out west. Hopefully I'll get to replace it with a new one soon - from Ontario at least!!!
