Hey all :) I'm not really new to the forums here just havent had anything to really post yet but here i go. I have just recently gottne into to fly fishing, actually got out on some water to play around for the first time today, got my self a cheap starter kit from ct. I am just looking for any advice or even some pointers to find sme good reading on fly fishing or a kind of a noob crash coarse on flies to use where i can try my luck( mississauga but but ef willing to travel a bit for good fishing). i got into fly fishing mainly because of watching bass in the pond at my trailer jumping for all the bugs hittin the water and completely ignoring any lure or bait that i would throw out there as the summer has progressed (buggers be getting wise to me lol) so yeah once again just saying hi and would appreciate any knoledge that could be imparted on me :) cheers and happy fishing

When the action heats up I would be happy to meet up with you on a stretch of water...keep at the fly brother, there's nothing more rewarding...

Hey Figment..

Welcome.

There`s lots of good fly fishing to be had less then an hour from you.. Steelhead hit the rivers in September and are usually in until May.. find the rivers that have the extended season and year round open seasons and you can fish until they freeze or like last year you can fish all winter. September is salmon time and can be good into early November. Late April is good time to fish brown trout, specs and river rainbows and that usually stays good until mid or late June then the water gets to warm to fish them safely on most rivers. Bass is good from the opener until late October in the rivers and lakes.. And some guys also fish for Musky, pike, Gar Pike and carp.. giving you year round fishing if you are versatile.

I have some basic info on my website regarding rivers in my area. In the winter when i`m done guiding i hope to have lots of information on flies for trout.

Good luck

Graham
