HELP.....Fish finder instalation on aluminum boat

Hello OFF memebers,

I recently purchased a fixed mount fish sonar and need to find a solution for a clean installation on my aluminum boat. I don't want to drill holes below the water line for obvious reasons and was thinking of mounting a plastic piece to attach the transducer..
Good or bad idea and if good where can I find the necessary product for this.

buy a bracket or make one yourself (2ft aluminum or plastic piece and a C clamp)

i have siliconed a small block of wood to the bottom of the transom in the past. works ok and you can take it off if you like

3m makes a bunch of marine adhesives that wont come off if youre looking for something permanent

Take a piece of thick butchers block material, and use 3M 5200 to affix it to the transom, I used a largish piece, so I had multiple options for mounting. Works great, and no holes!

The bracket's a nice option - makes the unit portable.
