Hey guys,

How she go? I am looking to go camping in the next couple of weeks. But have no idea where to go. I've googled and read reviews but nothing really standing out. IM located in brantford and am willing to travel abit(hour / and a half) IM use to being up north and juss heading out and finding a spot to camp in the bussh ,but I don't think my girlfriend would like that so much. IM looking for a nice place to relax and mainly fish. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Couple of questions.. do you need a good area for a trailer or are you using a tent. Power site or no. Own boat or renting a canoe. And what's ur price range

Havent been there since i was a kid, was gonna suggest that or guelph lake as the better spots being close to you.. but one thing that would hold me against guelph lake is they dropped their canoo rentals this year. Always heard great things about pine in recent years but pricing im not as keen on

I live in Guelph and Guelph lake hasn't produced what it has before. i would sugest lake belwood just near Furgus. Pke, large mouth, perch,cat......just saying

I was also thinking of suggesting Belwood. I have not fished or camped it since my childhood but the fishing was alright. I believe they have rentals as well.

Anyone ever been to the pinery or selkirk provincial park

pinery is great but good luck getting a site this time of year. I had good luck catching channel cats and drum right off the beach last year. This year the weather wasnt so nice so unfortunately I didnt get much beach time for fishing as the people I was with didnt want to go to the beach. Pinery also seems to have a much bigger police presence than I remember, kind of ruins the experience when a parks cruiser is driving past every 30 minutes or less. I'll be finding somewhere new to go in the future.
