hey everyone, just moved here from nyc last month on a work transfer.
slowly settling in downtown toronto. unfortunately, havent made any friends yet. :U
brought some fishing gear up with me, would be awesome if i ever get a chance to fish and meet new people here.
ill probably start fishing at port credit since its fairly close, and they have grills there! bbq and fishing. cant beat that.

lived in nyc all my life, ive only done saltwater fishing from shore, beach and boat.
never really any freshwater fishing. ill have plenty of things to learn :]

Welcome! What type of gear did you bring? What were your targeted species in NYC? What do you hope to catch? :D

You'll make friends quick.

in nyc, i target striped bass, fluke, flounders, sea bass, tautog. anything basically since there isnt too bad of a variety in the waters.

well for basic shore, i brought a 9.6" 3/4-2oz rod. for slinging lures/metal.

boat wise, i brought some unfinished 7' seeker hercules inshore rods (gotta finish them haha, i actually brought my rod winder/dryer with me >xD )
im not sure how well vertical jigging in lake ontario works. i love to vertical jig, catches alot of saltwater fish.

offshore, i brought a 300g jigging setup and a 250g popper setup (maybe i can make a trip(s) to 'spud' island, PEI for tunnnnna. :)

locally here, i was hoping to catch salmon? trout? carp? just some nice table fish. nothing beats having fresh fish for dinner. especially if i catch it after work, on the way home.

does anyone lake front Credit regularly? i want to go fishing right now, but the sun is still a bit too high and bright. haha
