Pickering, Bass opener was good for me there. Hauled in 5 bass. 1 perch, 2 cats...it gets crowded. google frenchman's bay. cool avatar. welcome to OFF and I hope you're not a 2 post & gone...lol

hey welcome to the forum, yea google maps is your best friend when it comes to finding bodies of water.
1.find water on google maps
2.go to it
3.if its private property ask
4.fish

welcome to the forum, if you;re looking for close to home, any bays and inlets will hold good fish, if you want to go further out, have a boat, willing to rent one or don't mind hunting for a shore spot, lake scugog, simcoe, and rice lake offer excellent opprotunities

Where did you find live bait? I live in ajax but I usually get live bait in scarborough on my way home from work. And I keep a bucket of live worms at home. I probably have 50 worms right now. I fish frenchmans 3-5 days a week. never been skunked yet. Maybe you tried a different area? I fish at the end of liverpool. It gets busy but there will always be spots to fish.

Really??..I fish at the park on liverpool..on the cutouts on outside of metal fencing..lol...Where do you go?..I wanted to get on a dock..but was told they private..what setup can i use to help my chances of a pike

Hey PikeBait, Scugog causeway is not bad too fish off of. The walleye opener is great there if you can get there before it gets crowded. You can fish for carp, bass, and if your lucky you could hit a muskie there.

It looks like an awesome weedy area..but on saturday there was hundreds there...umm...buckets in hand per say...couldnt get near the highway side...ended up on dock in palmer park...people every 2-3ft....it was crazy...not used to that...lol

I have a spot up north just outside port carling ontario...the pike are huge and awesome pickerel..all day long...bass are pretty good aswell...never more than 2-3 people ...so its not over fished..it maintains population greatly...i dont keep anything as for i dont eat any type of seafood...but i love the fight of a lunker..so for me..im trying to find a spot where i can catch and release the odd pike lol..

Well, if your willing to take the drive up to barrie, Little Lake has a massive population of pike. Boat rentals are only 60 bucks from 5 am until 6 pm.

tackle shop is north side of sheppard on the plaza between markham rd & mccowan. there's a timmies in that plaza. they have worms and leech. don't know about minnows. If you're going to fish liverpool, try the west side of the bridge for pike. I'd say cast some spoons & plugs as that usually how i get pike there. But honestly i have better pike in scarborough bluffs than frenchmans. but bass i'd say frenchmans is better. I usually fish east side, there's a boardwalk if you walk further. if you see a guy using a centerpin, that would be me.

av fishing tackle is the name of the shop :) just east of mccowan, hard to miss. i go there before i head off to frenchmans :) i fish there a lot, although kittis and carps are what i usually catch, cant seem to land what i came for :( them bass. maybe im using the wrong techs or bait??

carp and cats are all over that place. the odd pike is a little further on the east side although i sometimes catch them a little close if i specifically target them like with plugs & spoons. my setup with bass is worm and bobber. i do slow retrieve with twitching and it seems to work for bass and there are perch there too btw.

You think now is busy for fishing? Wait till steel and salmon run.. People fight, cut each-others lines all that fun stuff.. Basically chaos. Stay far far away.
