Hi folks, 1st report

Howdy folks...Matt Clay from Ottawa.

I fish Muskie, Walleye, lakers and once in a while bass.

Been fishing for 40 yrs. And plan for another 40.....I hope

Here's a few pics of this years success.

The Laker was actually from last year but was my PB so I thought I'd throw it in.

Those are definitely some nice fish.

Nice laker, I got skunked the last time I fished for Lakers on the ice. (That day I made up for in beer what I lacked in fish)

Nahh... Jaimela in this day and age anglers no longer keep the fish they intend to mount. A few photographs is all that is required to get a replica made. Modern taxidermy has changed since the new era of catch and release has come into prominence.

Most anglers today would consider keeping a trophy fish that size to be a shameful act. You want fish that size to reproduce.

No I would never kill a muskie, and none of the ones you see are legal size Ottawa River fish. Ottawa legal size is 54" and hey are pretty elusive.

I prefer to catch, appreciate, photo and release to catch another day.

They are just too pretty to kill.

My photo album is pretty impressive and one day I'll catch the girl that will give me my reproduction.

i would love to catch some fish like that right now. in the first picture you look a bit shocked, is that because you didn't expect to catch the fish or is it just heavy

I fish for walleye, nothing like a feed of eye's now and then. I also fish for bass, rainbows ,brookies, lakers and perch thru the ice.

I'll have some nice ice pics soon, hopefully I can get the frabill together in the next couple days.

Mostly musky though,,,,,totally addicted
