Hi from Mississauga

Hey there,

I'm a redneck 34 yr old from the Ottawa area.

Moved to Mississauga 6 years ago and wow things have changed. Thought I would get back into fishing as I'm a very casual fisher.

I've never really been able to catch anything but cat fish and carp. I do not own a boat. There seems to be very little water around this area.

I fished the credit river and caught some carp and catfish but find the area too crowded. I don't like people running up to me when I'm catching fish.

I don't even keep the fish as I don't know how to store them or cook them and don't know if they're safe to eat. So I'm trying to learn about all this.

I'm very interested in the Welland, Dunnsville area. Also Cambridge. I went up to Barrie and didn't enjoy the shore fishing and was amazed with the lack of parking, amount of police, gov't, etc which is a real turn off for me.

Dunnsville seems very, very promising.

I'm very interested in cat fishing. I'm trying to find push bait and bass pro doesn't have any..
