Hey guys, im new to the forum. Been lurking for long time figured it was time to sign up. I'm big in fly fishing but still new to it, looking for new fishing buddies. I fish alot around the i guess it would be the southern lake ontario tribs (when there open) for steel head and salmon. I'm headed to the lower Niagara tommorow if anyone wants to hook up !

I‘ve got just a 5wt rod right now. (I know its a very light rod for down there and those fish in general). But its all i can afford at the moment. I‘m saving up for an 8wt rod from Orvis.

Hey, welcome. I have an Orvis 6wt which, yes would also be light for down there but I absolutely love the rod and reel combo for Specks and native Browns or Rainbows. Smallies and Panfish are a lot of fun on it to. Orvis makes some great gear.

Thanks guys! I ended up getting skunked the other day, but a bad day of fishing is better then a good day at work ! I did see one chrome and possibly a laker get caught was not close enough to tell. How's every one else's fishing been doing?
