Hello to all !
I've been visiting this site quite a lot lately, and decided it's time to sign up. Grew up in Muskoka and spent a lot of summers in Algonquin Park with my Grandparents, who worked for a (still existing girls camp) called Camp Tanamakoon. My Grandpa was a friend of Tom Thompson, ( artist in the Group of Seven ). Through Grandpa, I learned to be an expert canoeist, swimmer, and all around... a "fisherwoman", with a good deal of sense and patience.
Camping and fishing are my passion. I've never lived far from water, as I find great peace being on a lake. I have lived on Kahshe Lake for the last 15 years, and I am one of the few, if not the only,.... women who you will find out in a boat by herself.... with the exception of two rescued Border Collies, who are fixated on my line in the water.
I am hoping to reach out to other women on this site, (men NOT excluded though) LOL..... to share my compassion. Kahshe Lake is dubbed the "land of healing waters" and " the lake of rocks".... if you don't know the waters, you WILL find one...... just a tad below surface.
So if you're ever on this lake,,,,, keep an eye out for a woman and 2 dogs doing some serious fishing ! I might be able to guide you through some CAUTION area's that are not marked.
