Hey,
I mentioned in the shoutbox that I caught my first bass on a wet fly which I tied myself.. I was using it on spinning gear with a split shot placed 18 inches in front of the fly so that I could cast the fly. I also tipped the fly with a centipede (which is probably the only reason I caught a fish ).
The materials used are: 1 size 10 hook, 1 peacock feather, 1 wing feather from a buff orpington (chicken), of course you need thread
The body is peacock feather and the tail or what ever you want to call it is from the buff orpington. I figured most of you guys would have no idea what a Buff Orpington was so I added a picture of one.
Picture of the fly it is hard to get your computer camera to focus!
