Hook, Line and Sinker

Problem I have with setup like that was...

leader+hook line getting tangled with the mainline.

But watch your low quality video shows that... hook leader line is doubled... which I guess could make it little stiffer? to kind of stick out from the main line?

Than again even from the lower quality video I can see that you are using a thick line.

The line is not actually thicker then normal fishing line. Since youTube tends to lower the quality of videos, I made sure to blacken the fishing line with a black marker so that everyone could see the line easier.

i never everhad any problems with any of these these setups.
also i noticed that using swivels reduces tangles alot.
using these setups the worse thing that can happen, your leader will break, leaving your rig just fine, takes 5 seconds to tie another leader.
if its nighttime, you will see how helpfull it it.

Better lightning can help boost the image quality, espeically indoor video like yours. Also, using H.264 file format is recommended for keeping the highest quality.

bottom rig - sliop sinker

Hey Osteo,

That slip sinker bottom rig you've shown is a great way to fish, especially for bottom fish. I've used it for channel cats in fresh water & for flounder in salt water with great success.

Nice to have different rigging options available.

Thanks for the tips MikeyMikey!
