Hi all,

I am an amateur to fishing and hope to start from the simple one. I am hoping to do some shore fishing and would like to catch bass around 2-4 lb.

1) Wonder what size of hook and sinker should I be using? 2) If I am hoping to use Senko with Wacky or Taxes rig, what size of the senko I need?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi Louie
I classify as the simple one.
I would suggest other than hitting crappy tire or Walmart, where you select your own gear.
Hit one of your local mom and pop tackle stores. They'll set you up with what's required and even suggest a couple spots to try. Personal touch more than makes up for the couple buck price difference.

I would say use a senko wacky with O-ring. They are fairly expensive so you don't want to waste one senko for 1 fish. Bass is still close so I don't know where you're fishing.

Hey sky. DILLIGAF is right .. O-rings are key ! Usually worms only last one fish maybe 2 if your lucky . O-rings can save a worm for tearing all day lol . And as for size : I throw 4 inch Gary yamoto . Or 5 inch bass pro xps worms rigged on a weedless wacky hook .. It's all personal preference ! I'm sure many can agree "there is no wrong way to fish a senko"". But yes bass is closed here in zone 17 until the end of the month so not sure where your at
