Hook Ups to Wrong Species

I haven't done enough posting on this site. Thought I'd go back to my archives and post some content to add to this forum as the fishing season is winding down.

Below are pics of species me and my friends hooked on to that surprised us:

We were using senkos and actually slayed about 6 bass in an hour but this little guy pike attacked the senko right at the side of the boat. My gf reeled it in a couple feet and I netted it. Dude wasn't hooked at all. He just tangled himself in the braid.

lol. i tried to pry it open to get my line and weight back but it wasn't giving.

Caught a clam on a mepps once lol, also have caught a painted turtle and 2 snappers on worms, thankfully the snapping turtle broke off before i had to unhook it

Nice. Me too. Had what I thought was a giant fish on only to see it was a snapping turtle when I got it close. He also broke off right before I would have had to deal with him.

I caught a big snapping turtle when I was a kid. My Dad just cut the line cuz it was NOT happy. I actually caught a clam once too. Those things are heavy! And I kid you not I actually caught a Welly. Like cartoon styles!

My father caught a Loon a couple of years back, and this year I have caught a Crayfish...twice!

I have caught a large turtle as well. I tried to get the hook out but as pissed as he was he wouldn't let me. I cut the line and let him go. I have caught boots, a seagull and even underwear.

i caught a massive turtle on bacon once in south carolina, and while striper fishing in florida i got a crocodile, i started freaking out and i was using a steel leader so it didnt bite trough, i brought it up to 5ft away and sliced the line then ran for my life lol mama gator was close by
