Click on a coloured section of the river on the map below to view open season details.

I was at the humber this morning before it started raining and I saw four or five dead salmon floating past out towards the lake....

Never fished this system--if anyone has any experience to share I would be appreciative...

One of the TOUGHEST RIVERS (Results) to fish GTA TRIBS
I have found that ROE is King there.

NEVER had any luck with: Hardware, Pinkies .... even worms only produced Suckers during their spring run.
There are fish, just very tricky river to get to know.

Many a SKUNK DAY!

The mouth, marsh ....
Old mill down to Bloor and a bit futher hold some pools

Up north more (Season to Eglington) there are "Some areas" - lots of shallow water (Other than the weirs which are sanctioned)
In season, going all the way to Bolton produces small browns and specs.

If its close and convenient, fish it and enjoy your day!
However, not the number one choice if you have other options

Just my opinion

you can catch some wicked sized smallmouths during the spring run as well as carp while drifting. ever fight a 30lb carp on your 13 footer with 4 lb....its quite the experience....i have taken many fish there on egg sucking leach patterns as well as stone fly variations as bitch creek and michigan wiggler.. like blair said if your close its ok but there is so much out there. but when the fish are in theyère in ...same like everywhere else
