I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is fish in the highway 27 near Humber college part of the Humber river.

I have fished it a bit north and south from that stretch. It's mostly Chub and shiner, with the odd sucker, sunfish, rockbass, and trout early in the season..

my apologies. is it not allowed to mention any part of the humber at all? im not asking to be ignorant or to start a war just for better understanding.

No worries...thought I would just make the point and excuse myself man.
Better to hear it from me than the rabble here.

It's big water...fish it...who knows what it will bring.

I spent this past summer stomping the highlands of Grey-Bruce with my boy at low water for residents...tough slog, but found some beautiful water, very few fish, and good smallmouth action on the fly...what more could one ask for.

I have fished between major mac and Rutherford in that area. Some good deep pools...but full of chubs only. I saw a roe sack on the bank of a deep pool late spring, no actual good fish in sight. I believe it's too far for them to travel. Certainly for salmon, trout it's maybe possible.

  • Naming Rivers: The naming of any specific river or tributary is not permitted in the publicly viewable general discussion forum. Instead, please refer to the river by the general area it is located, ie “East Trib”, “West Trib”, “GB (Georgian Bay) Trib”, etc. For example, you are not allowed to say "I had a great day fishing yesterday on Wilmot Creek", instead, we encourage members to say "I had a great day fishing yesterday on an East Trib". The former statement should be relegated to the reports sections (coming soon), away from public view.

but to answer your question, fish it, like chase said, there will be fish, you just have to put in the leg work to find them
