I am just remembering this now. Foreshadowing the scare of what opener is going to be I suppose. I got to the hole I have enjoyed the most the last few weeks, and normally there is 2 or 3 guys there. But in my dream there was probably 30 people there. Actually touching shoulders. It was unbelievable. THEN, two MONSTER TRUCKS come ripping upstream. I guess this is because I was watching Monster Truck Jam for a second earlier in the day haha. THEN, after they ripped on through, This guy in all camo and camo face paint jumps off the bank into the middle of the river, with a shot gun! Standing just up from the hole he yells "FIRE IN THE HOLE", everyone in the bank goes running, women and children are screaming, and blasts 3 shells into the hole.

This, my friends, was a nightmare.

I am scared for opener.

take the monster trucks and the crazy dude with a shotgun out...you got yourself a dream come true at the opener. will be hiking for a new spot a week from the opener.

take a break. :)

don't worry GT. come opener. there's more water to cover. there are spots that trout will outnumber 20 people in 1 pool.

i cant see how anyone catchs fish in that video, there are SO MANY lines and noise, how are the fish not spooked to death ?

Looks like the Russian river during sockeye season. You should see the confluence of the Russian river and the Kenai river......makes the video look like a place of serenity.

stupid...couldn't pay me enough to stand there like a fool two feet from someone else...

remy.. could I pay you enough to be like the fuckin loogan that came up and was touching our elbows today?

He was outfitted in a way... that I have never seen. Some kid, 18 or so, bright blue MLB New Era flat brim hat, then I see he has an kp imperial... then afterwards I look down and notice he is angling in his wader socks. Have never seen this before. Waders that are designed to wear an additional wading boot.... the wading boot was no where to be seen. I had to do a double take, and a triple take. Unreal. Maybe its time to trade in your KP and purchase some footwear?

Today I realized something. Steelheading is not about the numbers, but the experience. The experience of getting numbers.

Man that is so funny. I guess no one told him he has to wear boots too. I hope he walks around like that for a while. I seen a guy last weekend who had new Adidas shoes on with his waders but that's not nearly as good. That's something akin to a guy attempting to cast backing with a Sage rod, taking gear whore to a whole new level!

and dont forget to mention he didnt know how to tie a knot, had to get his buddy to retie for him...and he was bragging about how many fish he has caught and all this knowledge he has hahahahaha

There could be a number of reasons for why someone would show up at a river like that. Obviously no good ones, but I wonder if he didn't have the boots because he spent all the money he had on the pin
