Thinking of renting a hut or two this winter on the East side of Simcoe,Early Ice is usually the best. I thought it might be cool if we rented a few huts and made a day of it. I can inquire about rentals and set it up for those who are interested.(Should be around 40-50 bucks per hut if prices are the same as last year.)
Say a Saturday or Sunday morning early in January? I have a few friends form another board who can set us up. (Great ice fishing board too if anyone is interested)

If we wait till the lake freezes right over then we can go for Lakers!!

Let me know if anyone wants to go for a cold one! :D

FYI
Ice Huts on Simcoe are about 35-45 bucks per person....Bait & transportation onto the ice included. Great fun whoever wants to giver er a try!

does that include equipment, like rods and stuff?
if it does, then that's pretty good. i wouldn't mind giving it a shot when i have some free time.

FYI the GoFish tourny is actually last years....the mods over there forgot to take it off the front page.. 8)
Hell of an ice fishing site if anyone wants to drop in and say hi!!!

i live on the south side of lake simcoe(jacksons point)i have a 2 man hut and a 3 man portable. If someone has transportation out I will show you the hotspots and some neat tricks to catch'em.I have entered and placed top 5 or better in the canadian ice fishing championship for 7 straight years(hav'nt been in it in 3).I just want to fish and my sled blew a piston,i dont drive road vehicles on the ice(bad experience). If anyone is interested just let me know and we can set up a date.Fish are biting.I went out last sunday and 2 of us got 2 trout and 5 whities before 11 am.
