I have been thinking about buying one of these new satellite communicators- by Delorme. They are available at BPS and other outdoor stores for about $300 plus a monthly service plan. Have been thinking that when i am out fishing and wandering/boating/kayaking on my own and get into some sort of trouble- they might be pretty important. Can't always count on cell phone coverage. For me having the ability to send and receive text messages and use the SOS message feature might be a good idea. Anyone use one of these? Feedback? Thanks.
