Well I would like to say Hi to everyone here on the board!
From experience I realize that locals always know their fishing ground best so i figure i'd join the local board of my soon to be new home and try to figure out with some help some great fishing areas.

So Here in the North West we have Salmon , Salmon and more Salmon, Then there are Stealhead in my opinion one of the greatest sport fish sought after in these parts, its not a sport though-its an obsession!

So i would appreciate a bit of direction in the GTA. What tribs have the best Stealheading? Is there a "A" run Summer and a "B" run winter in those parts?
What kind of gear do you guys use? I have read some posts and i heard Sea Runnners will take a leach presentation?
Are the Chromers there hatchery fish or are there alot of native fish?

Thanks and

Welcome CR, Toronto has all the fishing you may need, Steelehead in the spring, slmon in the fall, browns behind them both, then the pike, and ohh don`t forget the Bass, Monster bass. Start by Try`in the Humber, right in our own backyards...Then there is the credit in Mississauga. I have also fished The Ganaraska for steelehead(but with no luck...children left and right of me are pullin out non stop, but meee nothin). Well those are some starting points, other people on here are alot more experienced with the steeley`s than me, I am sure they will help you out some more!

were in the north west r u moving from? glad to have u aboard!! hope its real useful for you, and check out the fishing derby!!

Well thanks for the reply's
I'm moving from Portland Oregon, My target fish around these parts are Salmon, Steel head and Sturgeon.
Outa curiosity how big are the Sturgeon in those parts? 4 foot? 6 foot?

Happy hunting and Tight Lines!
