Hello fellas (and ladies)! I'm a single, gorgeous, fun-loving adventurous single female looking for a willing steelheading partner...
Just kiddin'...I'm a forty-something, slightly out-of-shape dude from Kitchener with a bum leg who just bought his first centrepin outfit and wants to graduate from practice-casting into puddles at the local park to hooking up with some fresh steel.
Did some bottom-bouncing in the Huron tribs over 20 years ago...wasn't overly successful then - I'm cleaning the slate, realizing I'm going to have to learn how to crawl before I start running. Over the past 20 years, raising kids, coaching etc. limited most of my fishing to local streams; I've done a quite a bit of fly fishing on the Upper Grand.
Intrigued by the discussions on this site, especially the decision to ban the naming of rivers...I may post my first message there (since I don't have any impressive steelhead pics!)
Also, kudos to those of you who consistently catch fish- I know it's not as easy as it looks- it's the reward for your hard work, passion and fervour for the sport.
Hopefully, someday I'll join the pantheon of successful steelhead pursuers...in the meantime Grasshopper is ready and eager to learn
