Introduction + Kayak Fishing Lake Erie

Hello,

My name is Derek, and i'm a Niagara Region resident.

I'm a kayak fisherman looking to connect with others, and hopefully I can learn a thing or two, or perhaps teach someone something I know.

I'll be heading out on lake Erie (eastern basin, peace bridge) in April in waters ranging from 15-30 feet that has a rocky/sandy bottom.

Should I expect to run into the occasional perch or walleye (given open season dates).

Welcome Derek, that is good stuff. I'm on the east end and go on occasional kayak fishing for almost every specie there is in lake O. My #1 fish to target is pike but won't turn down trout bass or walleye. Hope to learn from your experience.
