Is this a fake kingpin reel?

I was looking and I can't find any info on it. Looking at the pics close it looks like two diff reels. One is brown and one is black. Plus one backing plate says "series 1" and the other has nothing written on it. Am I wrong in thinking this is "fishy" ?

looks legit to me, that reel is just less common than imperials and r2s.
