I am just setting up my stradic and I have come across something I am not use to. The spool will rotate very easy either way unless I tighten the drag really tight. Should I be able to move it this freely? As well as the bail seems to have a bit of a bend in it. It goes down a bit from the roller then up just a little then goes around to the other side. I looked at 3 of my other reels and they all go strait around. I know a guy gets his first big boy reel and freaks over everything.

Don't panic yet ! Go to a store that sells the Stradic Cl4 and compare bails. If you purchased it new then there is a 99.5% chance that it is OK. Not all bails are the same. As far as your spool is concerned take off the drag nut at the front and remove the spool, then put it back on making sure that it is seated properly , then put the drag nut back on and tighten it down and you should be good to go. If you still have doubts take it to a dealer and ask them if everything looks good.

Check the anti-reverse switch and make sure it's on if it's not you will be able to reel in both directions. Enjoy that reel it's a piece of art o so smooth and light and the drag system is incredible. Hope it's something simple like that!!
