streamside vortex???? hmmmm, not so sure about it, but when I spun it at bowmanville fishing show and at the sportsman show weeks ago, there is a little play on the shaft itself, im not sure if all models were like that but in my opinion there should be no play on the spool and backplate, just my opinion, but hell if youre getting sponsored why not right??? LOL!!!!

i bought an okuma for 169 and still enjoying it. would like to get my son a nice affordable centerpin. $109 is just that. but if it doesn't feel right. he'll be getting an aventa for $50 more.

If you search cooper gallant steelheading on youtube you can see it in action... It seems to be alright I know hes been fishing it for 2 years so it cant be that bad. (that being said he is sponsored by streamside.)

its an awesome reel, my friend Cooper recommended it, he is sponsored by stream side like IR4J mentioned and he was able to get me a little discount on a ss combo, a featherlite float rod and that reef or 160, its an amazing reel, way bette then the okuma raw 2 that i have fished for sure, spins amazing and believe it or not, i have never manually started it up, even in frog water, problem is, its sold out everywhere, Cooper had to get it online for me through streamside, i believe the trembles store in orillia occasionally has them in stock, other then that sold out everywhere, its a new company and the prices are still cheap, if you can find it, don't hesitate buying it.

apparently its a decent reel for the money, i haven't heard anything bad about it but then again i don't have experience with it
