Thanks for that Link Grubman! A LOT of usfull Information on there. I "Bookmarked" it for sure!

I'll be going back to check out the DOZENS of ""Hot Spots" thay have Posted!!!

I also read all of the other reports that are now Disqualifying the Top 2 Muskie On Record and the Details as to why. .

(From That Site)

"Ken O'Brien's 65-pound Georgian Bay catch could become the world record-holder, as some famous catches get disqualified

It's starting to look as if Toronto accountant Ken O'Brien, if he just sits still, will wind up as the holder of the world record for muskellunge.

That's for a fish he caught in Georgian Bay in 1988, a fish that is slowly but surely moving toward the top of the list for cheating is uncovered in the old records.

The O'Brien fish, a whopping 65 pounds, is currently the number three muskie in the world. But in the world of muskie fishing, old records have a habit of being thrown out. And, according to the National Post and the Michigan Muskies Alliance and. the World Record Muskie Alliance, (www.worldrecordmuskiealliance.com), the current record holder is about to be turfed out and the number two fish is also being studied for misrepresentation. The current record is held by Wisconsin angler Louis Spray, with a 69-pound, 11-ounce fish he caught in 1949. Second spot is held by a 67-pound, 8-ounce muskie caught by Wisconsin angler, Cal Johnson, also in 1949.

Those two disqualifications (if they happen) would move O'Brien's 65-pound fish to the top of the world record listings. And there is little doubt about the authenticity of the O'Brien muskie (the current Ontario record holder). O'Brien landed the fish during an annual (mostly fun) challenge muskie fishing match between two teams of anglers on Georgian Bay."

So! It appears that our Ontario Boy is AT, or on His Way to the TOP!

Not Bad for a "Fun Muskie" day on the water!! Along with NO Experience fishing Muskie!

Maybe we should all just forget the "TIPS" and "Experience's" we've "LEARNED". Just stare into our Tackle Boxes and try ...... "Let me see. I'll try this one. A Muskie (Pike) would probably go for it."
Actually that's the way I usually do it. BUT! HEY! "One Of These Days!!"

Maybe like "Swamp People" ....SHOOT HIM! SHOOT HIM!!

Well this "Story" came from a Very Reputable Site and as I said above I went to ALL the LINKS they have there to Verify His Catch.

Some of those Links are VERY Lenghty and Verify His Catch by a number of Methods. They also Disqualified the Top 2 along with Why and How.

Rick

PS: I dragged out my "Penn Peer 209M" on a "Major" Glass Trolling Rod tonight to clean it up.

Last Time I used it was on "Charleston Lake" BEFORE it was a Provincial Park.

We fished Lakers in about 200/250 feet of water. No Downriggers then. We used COPPER Line, a Christmas Tree. and WEIGHT!

GAWD knows how much line we had to put out!!

SNAGS????? I Freakin' HATED THEM!!! Wind, Wind, Wind, Out, Out, Out
