just moved to the brantford area

Hi i just moved to brantford and have always heard good things about the grand river does anybody know any good spots for me to try close to downtown brantford this time of year ill fish for anything?

There's the dam at the end of Dufferin St. I have caught carp there and there is a wide range of other species.

hahaha i saw that too schnip i was pretty confused...... and thanks hammer ive heard of it wilkes dam right? i just havent checked it out yet you said its off of dufferin? i used to catch carp all the time back home still dough balls and corn doing the trick out here?

Yup. They work but there are better baits and methods now. Here is one method . My Personal Favourite . You can Google " hair rig " it is another good method for carp.

Nice hammer!! you really know your stuff yeah i have a 6'6 ugly stick with a penn fierce reel that i can use for this rig i will for sure give it a shot and let you know how it goes! Thanks a lot for your knowledge hope i can hook into one of these big girls!!
