I'm hoping to take a trip to Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park this summer to do some fishing. I've never been to this park and I was hoping someone who has could let me know a few things such as:

- what is the fishing like for SM and LM bass?
- how about walleye, pike, and trout?
- which lakes in the park you would recommend for the above specie?
- how busy did you find the park? Were the backountry sites packed?
- were the portage routes maintained or should I plan for some obstructions?
- anything else you might want to mention

Thanks!

Solid of you to come back to this post man, yah I agree the park is a beefcake and it would take a long time to explore even the main lakes...maybe more time than I'll have unless I win the 649...

Thanks again, if I do end up givin'er this summer I'll post full reports!

BWB, I would recommend using FishOnline and calling MNR about bathymetry maps. They DO have maps for lakes that don't have them listed on FishOnline, you just need to call and request one.
