good ol mepps, for pan and bass, try a mepps psyclops for pike

That place has been a bust this whole season.
The bite turns down usually 1 to 1 1/2 months after opener.
I know been fishing the area over ten years

There's still fish in there?? really??? lol... They should make it all catch and release.. The panfish are pretty dinky there now. It would greatly benefit from even a 3 - 5 yr C and R ruling, and on that note, Island lake would definitely benefit from the same method!

Lots of rock bass and sunfish on that park .... If you're looking for LMB ..... hike a little bit going west of that park ... that's were you catch LMB . Try Terra Cotta ... there are LMB there too.

yep I f you fish here please practice catch and release for bass as there is a lot of pressure.

If you catch a pike keep it

also whats wrong with this area on the map, is it still water?

Polarized sun glasses help you see into the water. Look for drop offs ( water goes light to dark suddenly) or visible weed beds and fish the edges with t rigged or wacky soft plastics (worms, crayfish or creature baits) , live bait and spinners (Mepps, blue fox, panther martins, rooster tails). If access to a boat or canoe is available you can cover much more water.

hey clab,

i do have an inflatable row boat that is used for fishing. i know that they have mepps spinners for sale as well as live worms.

thanks

that area in the back is not stagnant its just quite shallow the water level has probably gone up a bit after the rain we had recently. and as far as fish they are in there its just with all the foot traffic and people who fish there the fishys can be quite timid and hook shy. I'm not going to post everything u need or witch spot to got to but think about what I just said there is a hint in what I said.

hey guys,

i had the best day ever, my goal was reached..... i caught a bass that was over a lb. i was so happy that i dropped my rod in the water. atleast the water wasn't deep.
