Just wondering if anyone has any exsperience fishing the skootamatta lake and river, hard or open water seasons!? I hear storys of white fish and ling in the lake but have never caught any myself. Also been thinking about a canoe trip down the river or maybe up it towards bon echo, any trout in the river? Or is it mainly just pike and bass? Thanks for any replys and info! Much appreciated

The river is phenomenal..I've never fished the lake so can't comment on it.

Depending on water levels, my go-to spots on the river can have excellent shore access, or be very tough to fish.

So far the way this year is shaping out, doesn't look like water levels will be crazy high.

Right on, i have fished the river up to the dam south of the lake and done good for pike and bass! What do you get into on the river? Do you go north or south of the lake?
