Just got back from the family cottage in the Central Frontenac County near Napanee, Ontario. The fishing was awesome last week before the big rain two days ago. We're heading into fall soon so I'm sure the shorter days with the stable water temps will keep the bite hot for the next couple weeks. Most of these fish were caught on lightly weighted wacky rigged Senkos, including the walleye mixed in the pics below. The best colours were watermelon with black flake and perch. Highlights were a pair of 17 inch largemouths, an 18 inch largie and a couple 18 inch smallies and and incidental 21 inch walleye. Had to chip through dozens of medium fish to get those guys. Some strong year classes coming up. Key locations were deeper windblown edges off weedy points and reefs or in the pads on still mornings. Get out there and get'em!
