To catch bass legally right now you have to go south of the border or about 10 hours north. It opens on June 23 this year, so put your bass gear away and be thankful we warned you before you got nabbed. Head to a local tackle shop and pick up a copy of the regulations, read them, and keep them handy. The publication looks a little daunting at first, but once you get into it you'll realise that it's actually easier to read than it seems initially. You can read it on-line, but a hard copy is better in my opinion.

I believe it was Manitoubass who lives in an area where bass is opened year round, I didnt believe him I had to look it up based on where he said he was from in another thread. Turns out he wasnt lying lol. Fisherman it says you are from Brantford so bass is closed in your area.

I got jumped on once or twice on another forum as well. Sometimes people just assume your within their zone. Or I've had people think I'm in Manitoulin, or Manitou lake (which there is like 3-4 off, lol)

i am going crazy thinking about how long we still have till bass season opens. i find myself going into the garage and talking to my boat lol. i guess some ice out pike will be fun. i love that its open all year. i wish i lived down south where u can fish bass most of the year. I LOVE BASS

I believe that on rideau river near kingston, bass season starts on june 15

I believe Bass season east of Pickering all the way to Kingston opens June 15, West is 22nd as usual (4th sat)

I don't claim to know much but bass and pike seasons I got

People need to be aware of seasons and if they are catching the same species the suggested act would be to either change lures/baits or just move spots.
