Last ice on the north end of Couchiching was great for Perch. They were biting the tiny shiners without hesitation and leaving anything that was much longer than an inch-and-a-half alone. Small grubs were working well too. The ice is almost out but we may see some light surface ice with the few cold nights ahead.... but when it does leave I would expect the bite to be on the same small pin head shiners. Tight lines folks.
